A Bit About Me

Spencer Nafekh is a tireless reader, writer and editor. He is probably the result of an incantation devised by an ancient magician-priest from the House of Life in the Temple of Edfu. Spencer has an undergraduate degree from Concordia University's English and Creative Writing program, and a Master's specialization at Carleton University’s journalism program.

Spencer’s writing explores the intersection of arts, culture and politics. His work has been featured in everything from political publications like Jacobin and The Maple to arts and culture outlets like Exclaim! and Also Cool. When Spencer isn’t busy writing, reporting or editing, he is probably listening to Depressive Black Metal while lost in the world of a sci-fi novel. No matter where life takes him, one thing will remain: Spencer will be writing vehemently until the day he ceases to exist.
